During the summer the area churches are coming together to offer a service of Midday Prayer on Wednesdays at noon. This will be shared among the congregations with Bayfield Presbyterian Church hosting in June, Christ Episcopal Church hosting in July, and Bethesda Lutheran Church hosting in August.
Each Wednesday gathering will begin at noon with a half hour of silent prayer and contemplation. At 12:30 we will have a short service of readings and prayer according to our tradition. The services at Bayfield Presbyterian will be our Book of Common Worship service for Midday Prayer led by Pastor Lawrence. Father Mark Ricker will be leading the July services and Pastor Connie Monson will be leading the August services.
We hope this will be an opportunity for solace and contemplation in the midst of the hubbub of the summer.
You can find the Presbyterian Church (USA) Daily Prayer app in your App Store for your phone or pad if you wish to download it for this service or your own contemplation, but it is not needed to participate.
